Shrine of Divinity Sacred Sister Circles

Through my lens I have had the honor of documenting Goddess Diamond’s Shrine of Divinity Sacred Sister Circles, weekend retreats that feel like stepping into a living prayer. Rooted in indigenous and Ifa traditions, each gathering begins with the ceremonial use of hape, a sacred blend of tobacco and medicinal plants. Offered through a pipe, it clears the mind, opens the breath, and helps release stagnant energy so that participants can come fully present to spirit, ancestors, and self.

Every circle is shaped by a theme, often carried through color and deity. White for purification and the presence of ancestors. Yellow for Oshun, river goddess of joy, love, and abundance. Purple for royalty, wisdom, and transformation. In these spaces women pray, sing, and sit in stillness, weaving together their healing journeys. My role is to preserve the spirit of these moments, to hold the tenderness and the power within each ceremony, so that the beauty of this ancestral medicine continues to ripple outward through image and memory.
Purple: Transformation
